Great school!!! My daughter has been going to Mt. Vernon since 1st grade and has not had one problem with any of the Mt. Vernon schools. Teachers get involved and very helpful. My daughter will be going the 9th grade and I believe the High School will be just as good.
Mt. Vernon Middle School is awesome! Mr. Price, the principal is a big reason why this school is so great. He is very involved with the kids and he makes it a point to know EVERY students' name in the whole school. The teachers are wonderful too. My son and daughter were both honor roll students and I believe the teachers played a huge part in their success. I just love this school. By the way, it is not 6-8 anymore as we now have an intermediate school for grades 5 & 6 only. The fifth graders are allowed to play in the band and other activities they would normally have to wait until middle school for.
