I have 3 children that go to Oak Park and they love it. Oak Park keeps parents up to date with what is going on with their child and help make learning fun. Oak Park has a 9 in my book!
A few good teachers. Most do only what is needed to get by I have found. They do not like dealing with anything outside the norm and do not like to accept responsibility for any mistakes made. It is easier for them to lay that in the students and parents lap. Curriculum is o.k. PTO is lousy... not much done to encourage parental involvement.But hey... The grass looks great as the principal has spent much time and money on appearance, too bad more focus wasn't on students. If you ever run into a problem, be prepared for a very defensive staff.
I have two girls that go to Oak Park. The teachers they have are incredible! I cannot say enough good things about them. They have a good curriculum and are very attentive towards the needs of the indevidual child.
