Bruneau Elementary School is nestled in the small country town of Bruneau population est. at 200. Enrollment averages between 50 & 75 students K-6. Seven educational staff members provide a high-quality, well rounded education for children from all walks of life. Teachers spend many personal hours providing organized structured positive learning environments for multiage classroom settings. This allows for students to learn at their pace, with more time and attention available when needed. There is a high emphasis on reading in the K-1 classroom with many positive reading strategies in place. The 2-3 classroom is a learning motivated classroom with emphasis on ISAT preparation. The 4-5-6 classroom prepares students for the new world of 7th grade, with a strong emphasis on math and writing. Bruneau has a wonderful, supportive community where you can still enjoy the small town atmosphere. I am proud highly recommend this school!

Bruneau Elementary is a very small school. It is a title one school with 83% poverty rate among the students. The school is probably good to go to if you are a ESL or a special education student. However, they do not make their decisions based on what would be best for normal to high achieving students. I must say that the best thing about Bruneau Elementary is the wonderful, unspoiled sweet children. I have never been hugged more than I am when I go to Bruneau Elementary. I do have serious questions about the quality of the education. Certain classrooms play frequent Disney movies, and do not meet standards in social studies or science.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
