Tijeres Creek is a wonderful school. The teachers are so dedicated and the principal is very involved. There is just the right amount of homework too. We were in a district where the homework was over the top. Here it's not so much that the kids are stressed out but it's just enough. We really like Tijeras Creek!
The school was a gem. Now it is a teach to the test factory. Principal is more worried about scores than creating lifelong learners. Supervisors are so out of control that kids aren't allowed to run at recess. Such a shame.
My child just transfered from a local private school. We are so happy with the change, the school is about six months to a year behind the other school on some areas and this has allowed us to make a smooth transfer. So far so good!
