Suitland High School

I am a current Senior at Suitland High School andat the end of the day you get in what yo put in. If you allow people who allready knw that they are not going anywher nor doing anything with there life dictate what happens to you, you will fail in life just like them. I have enjoyed my learnng career at Suitland and i would not change a thing.

I am a current student, and Suitland is a great school, the principal is great, and so are the teachers. The kids are just bad, but they are taking care of that to make it better for us who want to learn. Also their NJROTC, is the best program there, and every student should join.

I am a former student of SHS and I SHS is by far the best school in PG County. They challenged me like no other and the environment is awesome. SHS is way more than a school but a family. As a recent graduate, I keep in contact with the faculty often and everytime I go to visit they approach me with open arms. Yes the media portrays the school as the place full of violence but in all honesty it really isnt. I often recommend SHS to others because the quality of education is phenomenal. I attend a university that will be goin Ivy League in a few years and Suitland as well as good parenting has gotten me here. To set the record straight, I am not a book worm and I did all the things that students do, party, skip school, and maintain a vibrant social life.

I am a former student of SHS's Visual arts program. When I was attending Suitland I received a grade A education balancing IB & AP classes, art classes, after school programs and activities while still graduating with a 4.2 GPA. The teachers at Suitland helped me receive not one but 6 scholarships from different art schools all over the country. I was even being recruited by YALE. Now, to say that this school is no good because your kids don't have it together is unfair to the hard working teachers working on a PUBLIC SCHOOL salary while providing a college-level education. Suitland is the best high school in PG county and one of the best in the state. The school provides all the the tools you need to succeed, whether you chose to use that is up to your child and yourself.
