I attended Sequoia Village School for most of my young life. I loved the staff and the Principal. I was impressed by their knowledge and sincere interest and concern for each student. I would take my children there and feel confident that they would succeed!

I love this school. I have been a parent to a child that has been at this school for three years now and she is much more advanced than her friends that attend other schools and are in the same grade level. I will be changing to public school in the junior high years due to sports.

The academic environment has been changing, shifting from Saxon math to a new math program. There are good teachers at the school. Classes average 35 students, with two teachers, one usually certified. Chess is the extracurricular program. Students can participate in swimming and skiing based on academic standing and/or paying fees lower than public rates (certain times of the year.) The writing has been weak until students reach the fifth grade, where the current teacher makes up the difference. Parents are encouraged to participate in PTO, classroom participation depends on teacher. If parents plan to volunteer often, staff requires fingerprint cards; own expense. Transportation is provided by bus, the ride can be over an hour for many students, and includes Kdg. through highschool grade students on a bus. The high school students are separated from elementary age students during school hours. No music programs or athletics beyond a gym class.
