Waldon Woods is an excellent school. Seldom do we hear about the positivity going on in the southern part of the county and I am pleased to know that we haved dedicated teachers, administrators and staff who geniunely care about the students. The PTA is very active and always encourages parents to join in the various activities held at the school. It's great when you can voice your concerns openly and count on the concerns being addressed. Hip Hop Hooray for a great school in Clinton, MD.

My daughter has attended school at Waldon woods for three years and my son just entered Kindergarten. Overall, I am pleased with the dsicipline within the school -not so much the discipline on the school bus. I am not impressed with the timeliness of graded school work coming home. The teachers are qualified but there is a real lack of communication as it relates to PTA meetings, school functions, fundraisers, etc. My children seldom come home with school related documents intended for parents to read. The curriculum is ok, but you have to be an involved parent to receive satisfactory communication from both teachers and staff. It is not a horrible school, but by no means an excellent school. I grew up in teh Alexandria City Public school system, in Virginia. I remember bringing home graded school work every Friday for my mother to review. Not the case at this school.

Waldon Woods has experienced such success and still Striving for the Higher. With a Great Principal, Vice Principal, Staff and a Overwhelming support of parents--A Positive change has taken place. Test scores, esteem and environment continue to improve, including extracurricular activies such as: Band, Chorus, Drama and the like. Well done Waldon Woods Community--you have helped my children maintain top State Testing Scores and rising! Kudos!

I went to this school for only 2 and a half moths and learned nothing. My teacher was poorly trained and could not keep the other kids under control. They had no science books, and we disn't even crack open our social studies book. The stuff that was taught was on the 2nd grade level (I was in fourth grade), it was horrible!
