School does not have enough security. The teachers are excellent!! They have lots of activities and electives. But, the security is far from enough. This is the only problem I have with the school district.
Its been eight years since I have lived here and teachers and staff are great. Their New athletic Director is doing a lot for the students in School. He is going the extra mile to help kids be involved with school and sports. So far everything in this school is doing great. Education is getting higher and students are giving there best shot at it.
I have come into this district with five children from K-12th grade and I have seen plenty of positive things in this district. It is not perfect and there is never a problem unless you have a solution. I am pleased with what I have seen so far, granted there have been a lot of changes in the 11 months I have been here. I feel my children are very safe at this school and the level of education is there, if the child and parent what to get it.
I have a sophmore in Center High. I have not had too bad an experience with the school on a personal basis, but I do know that the discipline in the school is shabby and the saftey needs lots of improvements. The school police is a joke. But the biggest joke is on the Administration level. Do not go there if you have a problem you won't get anywhere. The only way to get anything done in this school district is to go to the school board and make sure you have back up when you go. This school has great teachers and staff, but the Administration is terrible. The new Super is ok he is trying to clean up the act. This is his second year so lets see how things go this year.
