I moved from a very big city in search of the small town where you can be safe. I am very pleased with GES. The new principle is doing a great job and I just love Mrs Stroud. She is an Awesome first grade teacher. I am also very impressed with all three sixth grade teachers. If you are thinking about GES as a school and community for your family.I would recommend it.

I don't know everything about the school since my child only started Kindergarten this last school year, but I can tell you that they do care about the children. Mrs. Messick is a very good teacher, my son just loved her, and she seemed very concerned about him. She would not have bothered to call me at work and home if she didn't. I have not had a bad experience with Mr. Evers either, he always greets me by name and knows everything about my son. All of the people in the office are exceedingly nice also, and act like they genuinely care about the kids that they have in thier care!

I am a student at the local university and I have done a lot of observation hours here. The faculty and staff have always made me feel comfortable. They gladly answer any question I may have about the education process. I have never seen a school system that cares about the success of their students as much as Goshen Elementary.

I think that this school needs more one on one with kids who have learned disabilties. I feel that chidren with learned disabilties,as far as being adhd/speech,language,should not be put in reg class and not have a tutor to help them with there class work. the school is to provide this service free of charge.I think as parents of children with learned disabilties should take the stand on their child's behalf, And push the school to meet all requirements,There are organizations that will help those parents that have no idea about the special education progams. And i myself feels that the no child lefted behind act should push it harder on county school. And the county schools need to improve the teaching skills when it comes to those kids that have special needs. This throwing them in reg class when there not ready it just adds to there learned disabilties.
