I graduated from NVHS and I would never send my children to this school. The school does not properly prepare its students for university level reading, writing and mathematics. The people in the community are completely close minded and provincial. Your children will not receive a cultural education. A quick online search of indiana high school rankings will confirm my comments. NVHS is consistently ranked at the bottom of all Indiana schools. Send your children elsewhere.
I have sent 3 girls through the North Vermillion grade school and high school. The youngest graduated this year and we will all miss the school. You have the best of a small community but still have a variety of class and sports for everyone. The facilities are kept clean and inviting. The district makes great effort to keep updated on new technology. It guidance department puts a lot of effort into helping the kids be prepared for college. They also make available scholarship information and help where it's needed.
