I have had three sons attend the Sheffield School system, The Oldest achieved his PHD at the age of 26 and is a professor at the University of Durham. The Middle son When to the University of Alabama and graduated in 4 years with a double Major. The youngest is still in school at the University of North Alabama working on a double major in chemistry and biology. I think it is what you put into the school as well and what you get out. As a parent I was involved daily with what occurs at school. I have remarried and have a 10 year old daughter that plans to attend the schools system next year at Sheffield. So I am looking into what is happening now. When the youngest of my boys graduated is where my ratings come. HNC

Unfortunately, after having had 2 sons in this school, I cannot give a good review. The lack of support for parents is poor, the staff seems uncaring and there is an overall 'who cares' attitude. It is a bad age group but it is a very important time in a childs life. More emphesis needs to be put on maturity and less on clothing skills (sagging, tucking in shirts, etc.)If the kids come to school, who cares how they look? It is very negative 'you are guilty until proven innocent'. 2 thumbs down!
