This is one of the best school's I have ever been too. The staff are great, education is excellent, and the school offers many activities. The staff look at each child's individual needs and meet them, not just at the schoobody as whole. Each child is important.

While this school is very organized and test scores are decent, this school lacks in truly understanding child development and psychology. Students here are scrutinized to the point that every student is expected to learn from reading and worksheets. There is not a whole lot of 'outside the box' thinking at this school. My daughter has regressed in writing since being at this school and I believe it is due to the fact that all that is done is worksheets, memorization of facts and no real learning connections are made to the students everday lives. Learning things so that they are lasting and meaningful is what provides a quality education. Passing tests so that NCLB is meant is not what education is or should be about. There is more to a second graders learning than recieving percentages on worksheets and being scored publicly on her artwork in front of her peers.

My boys have dyslexia and the staff at Huntertown has been wonderful! They have given my children the extra help and encouragement they have needed to succeed, as well as setting high academic standards for them. I highly recommend this school. Nicki Colchin
