The administration of the Hobomock School are very unwelcoming. As a parent I do not think my opinion is respected. I can not wait for my children to move on to middle school which is a very sad position to be in. Elementary school should be a wonderful time in a child's life...
I have two children that attend Hobomock and I have found the teachers to be wonderful! My older child is in 4th grade and his work load is greater than last year but his teacher has taught the class to prioritize their work in order to complete multiple assignments. I feel that he is learning the study and organizational skills that he will need to carry with him for the years ahead. He is learning a lot this year and having fun with his class too! Mrs. Doherty is an awesome teacher and we are lucky to have her! Lastly, the office staff are always polite and helpful! I am pleased to see our young school system growing in so many positive ways!
The current principal has been there for the last 1 1/2 years. She has done a terrific job concentrating on a standards based curriculum.
