Glencairn School serves just two grades--5th and 6th. This enables the children to mature emotionally and physically without the pressures of middle school. They can feel safe in a smaller environment without being overwhelmed. The teachers at Glencairn are amazing! They know each child in their classroom and work toward the best education for that child. I was amazed at how well the teachers knew my son less than two months into school. They are a dedicated, experienced, and loving group of teachers. Thank you, Glencairn staff!

Glencairn provides a unique atmosphere, serving children in 5th and 6th grades. This configuration allows teachers, the social worker and Principal to focus on the development of this crucial age and to start preparing the children for the more rigorous demands of middle school. These very gifted teachers work in teams, constantly meeting, planning, and discussing ways to help their classes work together. They meet curriculum creatively with impressive academic results. More importantly, my children have felt safe and loved there. This is a wonderful school!

This is our first year back at Glencairn since the reconfiguration and we are very pleased. Our Teacher is fantastic! The additional staff is wonderful, and Mr. Seibert is a very good principal. We have had issues that needed to be addressed and it was done in a caring, professional manner. This has been a great year so far!

If parents are willing to drive the extra distance, why wouldn't they be allowed to choose? Every school is not a match for every child and parents know their children best ... More »

Definitely! I believe that families should be allowed to attend any school they want, because there are some who went to a good school and parents want what's best for their kids. Even education.

Families should be able to attend any school they wish.
