I have 1 child who has been in the school since kindergarten. I have been impressed with 3 out 4 teachers, especially her 3rd grade teacher. I am UNIMPRESSED with the academics, the principal, and school functions. With all the taxes we pay I would have hoped for a better school system.

I am extremely impressed with E.C. High School. My son entered E.C. as a freshman and came from a private school background. The staff's interaction with students and parents is excellent. My son has excelled far beyond what I had expected. I have only good things to say about the sports coaching stuffs. They are tough, but fair. The students I have met are respectful and responsible young adults, who freely give their time and talents to be involved in their school. They are excellent examples to others in the area. My daughter will transfer to E.C. and I am looking forward to an excellent school year.

I currently have 3 children in the school system with a 4th entering in 2 years. I really couldn't be happier with the progress they have made! The teachers actually spend time getting to know the students, not just in the class, but out of it as well. They know their siblings, parents, hobbies, etc. The principal takes the time to let the kids know when they have done something well, and when they could have handled themselves better. Their programs for the kids are expanding, and every child is encouraged to find something extra to participate in. We are a small community, and there is no 'elite' group here. We are fairly new to this area, and have not encountered any such problem.

I went to school here and some of the teachers I had are still here teaching my child. If you feel that your child is not getting a good education here perhaps it is not the teachers but rather the student who is not trying. I have seen no indication of the treatment mentioned in the other review listed here. I have seen teachers willing to help my child beyond what I had expected.
