This small school is wonderful. My son has attended this school since kindergarten and is currently in the 4th grade, he loves it, from the teachers, to the principle, to the cooks in the cafeteria, everyone is friendly. The things that impress me as a parent, are the simple but important things, such as the principle knowing every child's first name in the whole school by mid school year, the teacher child ratio is great, and allows one on one attention. This school has a hometown feel but is up to par on it's levels of education. I would recommend this school to anyone, whether you are searching for a great educational experience or needing a school because your family has had a sudden re-location to Smith County. The staff, structure, and all about learning environment is wonderful. GO REDCOATS!UHS

union heights is the best school ever!! i could not ask for a better school.. my whole family has attended it and everyone loves it.. the teachers are great and just because its a small school has nothing to do with the learning. we are ahead of most schools. and the teachers treat u like their own kis. i love this school. we're so blessed to have a school, principal, & faculty/staff. thanks for everything!! Go Lady Redcoats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel that Union Heights School is still one of the best schools in middle Tn. My child transferred in from a surrounding county and was behind, compare to UHS.They were doing things at least one semester ahead of her other school. The teachers are very caring, kind, loving, and good examples for our children to follow. I would not think about sending my child to any other school. This school is the reason why we came out of private school. She gets the same or better education from UHS than she did at the private school, where they are only interested in your social and money status. You will not find better people, than the staff, and parents of the children at UHS.

This used to be one of the most sought schools in Smith County to send your children. Now teachers seem to do their job more out of obligation rather than the love of teaching. Parent Teacher meetings are a disaster. You have a small clicque of teachers that attend and any parents that attend are not made to feel welcome or that their participation makes any difference. I currently have one child attending there and have chosen to keep my youngest one in a private school due more attentiveness by teachers in personal and educational milestones.
