I could not be happier than our experience with Garth! My oldest went to K & 1st in Lexington where there was little teacher/classroom interaction for the parents and the office was cold and impersonable. We moved to Georgetown two years ago and found what I wanted for my children at school, the staff is very kind and involved in the lives of the children, the office staff and most of the teachers know each child by name, treat each child as an individual not just another student and welcome parent/family involvement! Thank you to the Garth staff!!!

This school has been in business for over 80 years. It is truly a neighborhood school where teachers care about the students and families. It has a diverse population and is an inviting and caring place.

My children have received a wonderful education at Garth. My oldest child, who is now in High School, ranks high in his class, received a high ACT score while in middle school, and has received the opportunity to travel across the world because of the foundation that he has received. The teachers are caring, concerned, and very supportive in each child's education.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
