The Donovan is a great school. The teachers are wonderful. My son is in the first grade and is doing very well. There could be more parent involvement, but there is only so much you can do to engage them. The parents that are involved are a huge asset to the Donovan community.

I think this school is doing much better and I find that they are very informative on how your child is doing and really do want to help in all ways they can. I am sad that there have been so many budget cuts causing the school to have to cut certain important elements. I find the teachers to be wonderful and the principal to be very understanding. I think this school could be great with proper funding

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
