I was a parent at this school with 2 children who attended there for 2 years. My children went to the afterschool program here. Each day when I came to get my kids the teachers were yelling at all of the children. The teachers would sit over to the side and eat or talk and when they felt like it they pwould yell at them and make them sit on the red line. I told the principal and nothing ever changed. I was unhappy with the school, too...so we left.
The staff at SME are talented, loving, and truly enjoy what they do. This shows in the kids' attitudes and test scores. This is a best of the best in public education!
South Mebane had the second highest growth in test scores for the 2008-2009 school year!! It's students, parents, and staff are the best!!
