Two words as to why this school is overcrowded --Chestnut Trace. We are devastated b/c we moved to this area for the all-around great school system, which has now severely declined. We are trying to move before my children attend Englewood. It's very sad.

I am sure at one point this was a great school however in the past 3 years my children have attended it has really gone downhill I was excited when we moved here to have them attend Englewood because of the reviews however, if it were not for the wonderful teacher, not principal, I would have pulled them out and moved north of the river. I am very disappointed in the school. The principal has little regard for the parents and I feel acts more like they are a burden. This school only has grades 3-5 and still is over crowed, there is no reason they should have let it get so bad, the school should have been torn down years ago, however because it is a county school it was left to fall apart.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
