Academy of the Redwoods

The Academy is by far the best schools in Humboldt County. Compared to a year at FUHS it is complete and utter heaven. I am actually being challenged in my classes and I am able to take college classes as well. THere are no clique or social groups at AR, just a bunch of kids who all share the same passion for education. I recomend this school to all students who are looking for a succesful future!

Academy of the Redwoods is an all inclusive school that creates a place where students can excel, feel safe and contribute to the community at large. Kids who would not be successful at comprehensive sites find their home at AR and go on to make the world a better place. The staff cares about the students, the school and each other. It's a vigorous and intense education but students also enjoy themselves while learning through project based learning.

Academy of the Redwoods (AR) is an Amazing school. It is the best school I have ever been to. I've only been there one year, and I do not want to leave. Everything about it is amazing. At AR you learn things that most people don't in highschool. Like being in a community, being an individual, being an individual in society... I have learned so many things in one year that it is just amazing. I went in as one of the shy kids that kept to herself, and I have become an individual that can speak her opinion. It is not just the things you learn that make AR so amazing. The morals and ethics are outstanding. What the school is based off of, what it was created to be, It's very foundation; is insperational. There is also the sense of belonging that just makes everyone your family.
