My daughter went to countryside in her 3rd grade year, and I loved the teacher and the students, I love the religion aspect of the school to. Besides all of that I believed that she did not learn everything that she should of learned in school. I felt that they did more singing and program practicing then doing actual school work. She is now in Public School which I am not happy about but she is learning much more than she was learning in Countryside. And with the teachers her teacher is'nt there anymore that taught her last year.

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
