i am a resident at tba group home i now attend riverview high school right down the road when i was at tba schooling i got straight A's the school is great the teaches interact greatly with the kids there is also more one on one yes, it is hard to adjust to a public school because there is not someone to be there to help me when i need it. so tampa bay academy is really a great and helpful school i wish to become a nurse one day i am 17 years old i'll be 18 in november and i am a junior at riverview high school.

I am the grandparent of a child who attended Tampa Bay Academy several years ago. This year, he graduates from high school wth a Bright Futures Scholarship and acceptance to FSU. Though my grandson was not immediately mainstreamed on his return to the regular public school setting, the structured day program at TBA with smaller class size with dedicated instructors and support staff provided him with the coping skills he needed. His self esteem was raised and the outrageous notions that he had potential and power were firmly planted in his thinking. He is not perfect, as none of us are, but he is successful. And he's compassionate, works hard and has a mind to do the right thing. I regret that I don't remember the names of his teachers, but thank you TBA for the important work you

I am very impressed with Tampa BAy Academy. I currently have two sons there, and both have brought their grades up in all subjects. Tampa Bay Academy keeps me informed constantly in all development area's of both boys and speak with me about any concerns they have on at all times. I would highly recommend Tampa Bay Academy.

TBA helps children with behavioral and emotional handicaps that prevent them from functioning in mainstreemed classrooms. Teachers at TBA are qualified, sincere, and professional. The program has a few kinks. I cannot honestly say that David has improved due to anything at TBA, however, because of his services he is attending school where he normally would be unable to. I feel that there is little chance for parental involvement due to the privacy issues. We are not allowed to visit the classroom, work samples rarely come home, and the teachers, supervisors and therapists seem to rarely know what the other is doing, causing a bit of confusion. Daily point sheets do not often tell the whole story leaving the parents a bit in limbo. TBA provides a necessary service. I'm still unsure what the overall benefits will be and often wonder if the atmosphere is doing more harm than good.
