It will be fun to watch this school unfold this year. The student leadership program under Dave Huchingson will explode! I like the fact that the school is getting the high school sports program started. This will now be a huge draw. The district will be bringing $30 million in facilities in to this district. $16 million to the high school for the gym, track, and the balance of the classrooms. This is a very safe and controlled setting for the serrious student.. If you want your kid in college then go here. You must keep a C average just to stay in the school.
Great school with a great dual immersion program. High quality teachers and a strong PTO, sometimes too strong with even more power than the principal herself.
My daughter has been in the dual immersion program going on 4 years now. Her progress is amazing and so far she still loves school. I appreciate the parent involvement and the positive atmosphere this school creates. I do wish more extracurricular activities were offered and I hope that by the time she gets into High School they have made major improvemnets over there.
Wow SCA is getting Dave Hutchingson back from Exeter High School! This school will take off. I love the small controlled setting. SCA is the best option here in the Porterville to get kids ready for college and life. Very safe. Go Bears!
