Rosenwald Elementary School

Rosenwald has struggled with the plight that so many public schools in the south have had to endure,being separate but not equal. My children have received a decent education. The community embraced us as Katrina evacuees,and I'm proud of all of the hard work and dedication that the entire community has invested in making Rosenwald great. I would not want my children to attend any other school in the parish. The principal is the best and her concern is educating children with what means she has. I'm proud of Rosenwald!!

I am a proud graduate of rosenwald high school. A historical african american landmark. The school has many famous graduates to boast of; including school board members. The school has a new principal and staff members who work hard to educate young minds for the future. The school in 2003 received a flag for exemplary growth in test scores. Rosenwald is one of the best schools in the system. The pc school system is contemplating the closure of this great instituion. This would hinder the educational develoment of many arican american students. The school has a family oriented environment and caters to the needs of the family by also offering extracurricula activities for the children of the town. Rosenwald have not only educated many individuals but is also responsible for the values and beliefs they take into the real world. 'Rosenwald works improve it don't loose it.' We are dedicated.
