Need to stay more competitive in preparing for academics needed for high school and beyond. All children should be learning a foriegn language and not just for one semester. Also 7th grade students should be required to take pre-algebra not just select students. Each student should be given the opportunity to learn equally. Overall rate average. School suffers from State and town budget cuts. In need of new building, has poor ventilation, building antiquated. Excellent Principal doing best he can to make a safe and efficient learning environment with budget provided.

I have 3 children who have attended Powder Mill Middle School. Great teachers! Needs a little help with special needs students because the communication between schools needs improvement, but they do try. Principal talks above you not with you. He needs to remember he is talking to parents not scholars. All in All a great school! B+

Rt@fpluto, that's so horrid. My heart goes out to your kids.Do u mind if I ask what school system you're in, I maybe able to get some answers for you if I knew. I recently moved to the Beech Grove district. Meanwhile, I will pray for your family.
