I was so unhappy with this school that I went to a friend on the school board 2 years in a row about the conduct of the teachers as well as the new principal. My child hated school. He begged me not to send him to that place. Now that he doesn't attent this school his grades have gone up as much as 3 letter grades per subject and he likes school and thanks me for sending him somewhere else. I just think it is a shame that teachers care so little about their students, while there are teachers out there who deeply love to see their students do well. I'm not saying my experience is what everyone will experience but I did let one bad year go as just a bad year, but 2 years in a row and no help from anyone in the office, I felt betrayed by the system.

Mr.Kelly [the principal] is wonderful as well as the teachers. Can not say enough great things about this school.

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
