I have had two children that have attended this school and I have never felt overjoyed at their or my experience here. As long as your child is a very independent learrner (sees something once and gets it) they will do fine here. If they are not, they will be left behind and kept behind. The proof lies in the test scores that Auburn Elementary school is producing. This is the only school I have seen that has had a 56% passing rate in any subjcect on the CRCT ant that is from the 5th grade students who should be graduating to middle school with a good foundation. I am moving from this district soon and i couldn't be happier as my child will have the chance to succeed. My child could not be happier either which I found odd because I never wanted to move schools when I was a child. My child has just not found any joys at this school and that is a shame as elementary school should be a very positive experience. It is very hard not to blame the school when you are the parent who is involved checks homework every night and you see your child had no idea what to do. My eldest has moved onto Middle School and is now a great success.

Auburn Elementary provided a great begining for my son Nathan with caring and dedicated teachers and staff thru his 6 years at the school.

My son's behavior has greatly improved since he began attending the early entrance class that meets four days a week for half the day. Mrs. Hopkins is doing a great job, and the school as a whole is well organized.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
