Plainview is the only school that I want my children to attend. It has wonderful Principal, Assistant Principal, and teachers. It is a small school where everyone knows everyone which is sometimes a problem for some but I personally like that we are a close, family & church oriented school.

Plainview is a great family school. This community is one of the best around! And you won't find better teachers anywhere else!

Plainview has a great boys basketball coach. Coach Wharton has a great personality and is a superb coach. The Principal doesn't impress me. Teachers are great, but there seems to be a lot of anamosity among them and their administrators.

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
