I have taught at this school for two years now and am so pleased with the group of teachers I have had the pleasure of working with. They all work together to ensure the best possible education for their students. We research new strategies and come up with creative approaches for meeting the needs of all different learning styles. It's amazing how well everyone works together at this school!

My kids have been at Citrus for about 4 years. I have had some ups and downs with the school but all in all the staff have been very co-operative. As for the teachers, well, some are better than others. Some want parent involvement if they like you and not if they don't. In general, be prepared to work with your child. They need more than what they get at Citrus. Also if you come from the North or out of State, be prepared.

This is a wonderful school! Both of my children go here and love it. The teachers pay attention and make the children stay on track, if the teacher feels like the child can use some help, the call the parents to let them know. This school always keeps parents up to date with the latest school news, by either a phone call or a letter. Sometimes both! I have been dealing with this school for about 5 years and anytime I had a problem it was resolved to my satisfaction. All in all the Staff at Citrus Elementary are caring and patient and want our children to succeed, I think that is all that matters!

Nice staff but was not impressed with the teaching nor the afterschool care. Too many kids in the classes and not enough teachers. Some classes in trailers. We moved from the north to here and found an enorm difference in teaching quality and Florida standards so be prepared if you are doing the same!

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
