Ballard Montessori School

I have been a Ballard mom for the past two and half years. The first couple of months was under the old administration but the rest of the time has been under the new administration. The pre-shcool has wonderful curriculum ranging from reading, writing and reciting alphabets, to learning about the solar system. The entire summer curriculum was based on cooking - so my kids learnt about measurement, textures, taste, smell, sound etc through the art of cooking. Lots of interesting field trips enhanced their school fun. Because a full time work schedule makes it hard to get involved in all the school activity, I never feel pressured to volunteer beyond my limit. One good thing about the school is the option to enroll for a variety of activities like karate, music etc in school which meant a lot of free time on the weekends.
