First time for my toddlers to be in school and I have to say, there is no patience for my 3 yr old. The principal told me because he is a transfer student, she can drop him at anytime if he can't follow directions. It has only been 2 weeks and already my child is being threatened for dismissal. I attend school 4 out of the 5 days and don't see any behavior that is not correctable. At 3 he does not listen well all the time . But what 3 yr old does! The teacher seems to care alot about the kids but REALLY could use some reliable help in her classroom. I can see her being fustrated trying to handle 22 toddlers alone. They offer alot of ways for the parent to interact with the kids and be apart of the team. However, I feel as if I am and "outsider" and not a partner in my kids education. I am tryin gto be there but the princpal won't let me volunteer in my kids room. I have been offered "observation only" time. WHy sign up as a volunteer if you can not help out? I am disappointed as this school got great ratings and was the reason I chose it. Having major regrets.
This is a great school. Principal is new this year. Everyone seems to care about the students. We have two 5th graders... I just wish they would teach 6th grade there so they wouldn't have to move next year.
My post was removed. Censorship is bad when the public makes decisions individually. My view can be silenced on a site like this, but I will not be silenced. My post being removed proves the point I made in my post. To the person who flagged me, you can have this site for your own. Shame on Great Schools for allowing this.
The teachers there really care about there students and look at the positive things that the students do to help encourage there learning and not the negative things.
