I do not believe the curriculum is challenging, nor is there enough emphasis on writing and speaking. The school does not teach students to be independent and responsible. It appears every family pays a different tuition and I don't feel we're getting our money's worth. The teachers are all quick to reply to concerns, but the principal does not address all concerns. I would rate this school one step above public, but not on the same level as most private.

This is an excellent school for many reasons. First, the principal is passionate about her job and committed to the success of each student. She makes herself available to parents and insists her teachers do the same. Also she enforces a strict discipline policy, meaning behavioral distractions are limited. Next, the curriculum is competitive. The school is located in one of the best school districts in Maryland and its curriculum is comparable to the public school system's advanced program. Finally, the school offers music education. Students may receive group or individual instruction and perform for the church several times throughout the school year.

The quality of the academic program is tops! My niece and nephew have learned so much already this year. The teachers are excellent and are dedicated/committed to these kids. They are available for meetings with parents at anytime. They are intelligent and insightful. They provide concrete, personal advice for the success of your child. The music program is excellent. There is a band and choir and private lessons are also available to whoever want it. We are completely involved in all aspects of the children's education.

A blog by nature is public territory. If you don't want something to be public knowledge, don't post it on the internet.
