Gateway has a very caring enviornment, and has a very special Principal, who was a former teacher at the school for many years, and knows the kids and staff like the back of her hand. She recently had a new student arrive, who was having a very hard time adjusting to his new school, and KayLynn spent a great deal of time talking to hime, and listening to his concerns. Because of her effort, the young man now loves the school, and especially the Principal!

What I really like about the school is that they can give the students a quality education without giving the 2 hours per day homework. My daughter has a good teacher, the administration is all very helpful, she gets a good education and she has time to be a kid -- equally important!

The principal is great, but she needs to work more with some teachers, they don't have the same goal.

I am very impressed with Gateway and the way they customize a child's learning based on performance and needs. My son has been in the gifted program for several years (they call it PA for Project Alive.) Once or twice a week he goes to a special class where gifted children are given math, science, and literature challenges. He is asked to give presentations to his class and the entire school on a regular basis. I am amazed at how well they address the particular needs of children, whether special needs or gifted. My son is offered courses at Colorado College every summer; they are courses designed for gifted children to prep them for college. All I can add is that your child will be smiled at and adored by all of the staff at this school. It is just such a positive environment.
