Most teachers are great, school administration and the whole district for that matter need a MAJOR overhaul, not very many choices if you like anything other than band or art.
As a former student of Woodland Park, I can honestly say the school is extremely poor. The problems are not necessarily the teachers, although some are bad. THe problem is the students. They are incredibly mean and very judging. The second you walk into the high school you feel judged. Many of the kids have serious attitudes!

Things about this school are good and bad. As a current student, you really see things as they are, whether parents, former students, or administrators tell you or not. There is a certain preference to sports people by the whole school, including the administration (some teachers are willing to cut slack to the arts department students, and justly so) unless you're involved in the arts departments. Those are the greatest departments! The theater is the most amazing you will see for a high school. While our wonderful choir director has retired, the new one is just as great, but not exactly the same. Drama is simply wonderful and entertaining! Band is number two in the state, with number one drumline and color guard. The chemistry teachers are leading the school into the future with their podcasts that are now spreading through the school and making us renowned.

Au Contraire - School is excellent and simply gets better. Leadership is outstanding from the administrators. Teachers are second to none. There are many programs for kids of all ages. This is a great place to raise your kids and an excellent school system. Parents do well but could be more involved.
