Leesburg high school is a really good school! i currently attend this school and i love it way more then i did my other school that i went to(south sumter high school)! leesburg high is a friendly school!! people i dont even know come up to me when they notice that im sad and try to make me feel better!! if you are a parrent that is looking for a great school to send your child to i would recomend you to sent them to leesburg high!! the teachers are friendly and they try there best to help the students out! this is a easy school to pass through!!! if i were you i would chose lhs over any school to send my child to!!!

there is no way to escape the slackers and kids with no drive, they are at every school. i have attended other high schools in the lake county area and found LHS my favorite. i am enrolled in all AP, honors, or college prep classes. teachers are always there to help as are the other school officals. students just dont seek out this help. the band, chorus, drama, art and sports programs are great considering the lack of funding as well as the AP, honors and dual enrollment opportunities. dont let kids who choose the easy ways out change your mind about this school.
with all the strictness, I'd expect a safer school..to much bullying, violence. Not what I expected for my small town....

I am a current student at Leesburg High School and I couldn't be more happy. While there are always kids who don't care about their education, most of us do. I know that Mrs. Velez really cares about us and wants us to do well and it shows. Of course kids complain about rules but I know that the rules are there with good intentions so accept them. There are some great teachers here who want us to succeed. The athletics and extra curricular activites area great and school spirit is good. I don't blame the school for the below agerage performance of some of the students, I blame those students and their parents. If every student was underperforming then the school would be at fault but that is not the case. I would recommend LHS to anyone.
