I have a son that attends John Hill School. He has now been there for 2 years. The teachers are excellent and every subject is taught to each student's level. The special area subjects such as gym, art, music, library and many others are a great opportunity for the kids to have fun and learn. Each classroom has a homeroom parent that plans parties and gets involved in the classroom. They also have a PTA.This school is a great place to learn.

My son only went here for 4th grade (2004) and the teachers were extremely helpful to both my son and myself. The child study team went above and beyond to help with anything and everything that was needed to help my children. I cannot say enough about the kindness from the principle to the students. All was an excellent expeience.

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
