This school is fine for average kids but not exceptional kids. I moved my high-IQ child to a public school last November. He says he feels safer in the public school and the work is three times harder than his Catholic school. Both of these assertions surprised me. It's sad children do not feel safe at Magdalen.

My children have been happy at School of The Magdalen, but they are students who excel and don't need extra help. The music program could be greatly improved. The 'band' definitely could receive better support. They meet during part of the lunch hour, which makes more kids drop out because they get tired of rushing during lunch. Parents are highly involved and support of the teachers and the school.
