I have to be honest, my daughter began her education in Phillipsburg after attending a prestige Christian school. The curriculum in the school was not challenging enough so basically she took that year off, no studying etc. Her work habits become horrible and she has gone from high honor roll to being average. Along with the sub standard education they have no money in the budget for any sports or specialized programs. If we are so economically depressed then why are my taxes so high and the schools, teachers and children are suffering?

My oldest son started the Phillipsburg Middle School in seventh grade. He had been attending a local private school. When he arrived at PMS, he found the math was far more rigerous than what he was used to at his old school. The school not only caught him up, but he scored a 1300 on the old SAT at the end of seventh grade! Exellent band, choir, famous published english teacher(s), excellent drama club, strong athletic programs and a strong school spirit! Great school.

I remember the Phillipsburg Middle school when part of it held the preschool students. The middle school students respected the tots and helped them. My daughter attended the preschool and then was a 6th grade student. She found the teachers very open-minded and teachers helped you with studys and your problems. The curriculum for the grade levels helped students to be knowledgable to enter today's life styles. The school staff was very helpful likewise the school board, sometimes they didn't agree but would try to solve your problem. In overall the middle school is a good school and they do treat each student with respect as long as the student shows it in return.

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
