HCS has been the perfect school environment for our children. Our children are challenged academically, have good Christian friends and are active in extra-curricular activities such as select choir and sports. Our son's 6th grade class this year ranked in the 87th percentile in SAT scores! (This is the national ranking, with 50 percent being average.) And this is not a group of brainiacs, they just have an excellent teacher. The spiritual atmosphere is great - I love that what we teach at home is being reinforced at school.

A good small school with dedicated teachers, but it does not meet what our child needs in science. The school does not teach modern science. It is God only. We believe in God and also in science. An improvement in the science classes would make HCS one of the best in Topeka. Until the change students at HCS will continue to be behind when they leave for a higher education.

My daughter attended the public school system until Junior High. As we saw all the problems in the public school system, we began to search for a more conservative caring approach to educate our daughter... Heritage Christian School has been our answer and we have never looked back... The quality of this Christ Centered School far outweighs the traveling time to take her to this school and the costs... We are so fortunate to have this school in Topeka. We love the teachers who are there to teach Christ regardless of the lower pay. They are there because they want to be, not for the money.... God continues to bless this School.

We love this school! Our children's SAT scores are high and they are challenged by the curriculum. The curriculum is biblically-baased and the teachers are strong Christians and good role models. Class sizes are small - so our kids get lots of attention.
