In two years my daughter has rarely gotten home work, projects are simplified to the point of insulting intelligence. One English teacher in the 6th grade reported that he did not wish to teach students to write structured reports-a skill that needs to be mastered to be successful in the upper grades-and instead simply answer questions in a sentence or two because it was too much work for him! This sentiment is pervasive. I have found too often that the school celebrates mediocrity. The teachers appear to be overwhelmed by the behavior issues in their classrooms so quiet unassuming kids will get lost. My daughter does not feel the need to study or push herself because she's on high honor roll with no effort. If you have a choice and u want a real education, walk on past this school

I am a grandmother to two students at Middletown Twin Towers Middle School. They are getting a good education. The teachers are willing to work with a student if more help is needed in certain subjects. When children are eager to attend classes, that is a good school!

I have been very pleased with my child's academic progress. I feel her teachers are caring, as well as very hard working. I do think that they have a tendency to teach to the lowest ability in the class and leave the other students to fend for themselves. I would like to see honor students receive more of a challenge in class.

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
