Let us bring this forum up to date! As of 2010, my sons second term at this school, I have yet to ever hear from a teacher that he may be failing or is. It is not until I get his report cards that I learn 'he is capable of doing better' ! The same comments by all. So the question is 'if: capable and not doing what he should or lack of motivation, toss it on the working parent? When my son does ask for help, he hears 'another' day, I cant today etc. The root of the problem stems from over population, teachers who are simply burnt out, no longer care and cater to their favored students. I personally know several teens who hate this school and dropped out opting for a G.E.D.

This is a school and district that has come out of some dark times and poor leadership. It is a great school and district and the class sizes are 18 at the primary and 25 in the secondary. Visit and don't listen to the negative few. The facts will speak for themselves.

While there are a plethora of programs and activities for students and teachers (some of the best around), the district is growing faster than it's able to keep up with. Classes have no caps and are too large, lunch rooms are overflowing, and too many teachers have to teach from a cart. The place has gotten too populated and unweildy. Despite its recent expansion, Middletown needs a second high school. The strong will survive.

Middletown High school has some excellent teachers with high standards for learning. You will always find a few teacher who are burnt out and just waiting for retirement Yes, it is very over crowded. The extra activities available are some of the best in the county. Come visit and see for yourself!

It is critical to the success of the school. Great leadership means great students and staff very high moral at the school.

Very important - a school and its staff is only as strong as is leader. If the school has strong leadership then the school will also be strong.
