It has such a cooperative spirit amongst the entire staff. They truly work in favor of the students as well as supporting their teachers and staff. Great administration.

My daughter came to Devon Forest from another school in Maryland. Her school district was one of the top ten in the nation. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been very pleased! The children are taught the same (if not more) than her school back in Maryland. The leadership seem very dedicated to the children! There was even a program for moms to build positive strategies for correcting their children. There were even arts and crafts for the childcare they provided, and dinner provided at no cost to the families that wanted to participate. Not every school would spend their money that way. With teachers, as with every school, it's a hit or miss...it depends on who you get, and how your child connects with that person. It also depends on parental involvement...

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
