Because of this type of school is why I homeschool my children and refuse to send them to Seminole County public schools! I am a former student at this school and grauated 16 years ago and you could not pay me to go back or send ANY of my children there.

SCES and SCMS have become nothing more than a depository for lower level and at the highest barely middle level learning. The children that are graduating from this school system are unable to truly make it a higher education setting. I also turtored many student at Bainbridge College and a good majority of these were student straight out of high school from seminole county who did not have the ability to write a 6th grade level essay much less an English 101 essay, not could these student do any type of Algebra, which you must have to graduate from any college with any true degree. This school system should be either completely revamped or shut down.

Being a former student of SCHS, I believe that the school is lacking the principles that should be enforced there. Such as discipline problems, dress code problems, and lack of school spirit. The teacher involvement, or lack there of is aweful. Also the student involvment is lacking. Students don't want to be in an environment that is so boring they can't even concentrate. Only a few teachers there deserve to be called 'teachers', the others are just certified people that talk to classes of students. I believe that if they would stop worring about what the other school is thinking of them and put the student's interest at heart, they would have a higher standing school. Many students and teachers there also have an authority problem. Nobody knows who answers to who. Teachers let students run over them, and vice-versa. SCHS is only an average school in my opinion.
