Terrible school in so many ways. From the top down, meaning the Senior Pastor, it is a stern, rude, unsensitive place. There are some good teacher, that is true. But run for the hills because the Pastor and Administration has plenty of guile.
School's priority is basketball. Some curriculums are strong. Administration is below average, some are unprofessional and unapprochable. Child development center is uninspiring, boring, outdated, and dirty.

The Administration leaves a lot to be desired. 3 Headmasters in a year and a half. they do not have a lower school principal, a high school principal, an admissions clerk. Teachers in lower school are great. They are what keep the students returning. They are not given the credit they deserve. 'Ask and you shall receive' - not here! Everything is a secret, parents are not informed as they should be. Requests for information from budget to test scores are ignored. Basket ball is #1 priority that does not at all financially benefit Montrose. This needs to change. Vetters basketball could improve the gym. Education should be top priority. Discipline is not standard, special consideration given to children of employees. We will pray that Montrose can overcome these issues so that this can become a better school.

My children currently attends Montrose. They have good full time teachers. Academic is above average, but great emphasis on sports. So if your child is not so inclined, look somewhere else. Discipline is an issue with some classes. Administration is unresponsive to matters brought to their attention. Communication with parents is poor. The new headmaster was hired few months ago. If he wants to turn the school around, he should be serious in improving parent communication and encourage parent involvement in their education, and have stronger student discipline. Otherwise quality of education just depends on which teachers your kid get. It has been frustrating.
