I went to this school from 2006-2008 and during the whole time I was there, me, my parents and other 3 siblings who also attended roosevelt, were stuck dealing with teachers who did not treat students with respect, out of control, loud class rooms and impatient teachers. This school also, in the years Iv been there, developed a very big drug problem. It was a nice school in '06 but by mid 07' there was a huge use of ecstasy, prescription drugs, meth and weed. Most of the teachers dont know how bad it really is. Every kid in corona knows how full of drugs roosevelt is. The block schedule drives most students crazy. Having to focus on the same subject, sometimes the same project for two hours is not fair to ask of teenagers everyday, every week after waking up at 5-6am.

Moved my son to the school from a suburban L.A. County school. He transformed from a D- student to a member of the Honor Roll. The block schedule is great and makes sense. I am seeing the results. New , clean and impressive campus. Looks like a university. I am hoping the International Baccalaureate program is moved from the other high school to Roosevelt.

The school is great and all, however certain things I see unfair. such as the sports. FOOTBALL and CHEER get everything. yes, it is great, I enjoy attending the football games, but other sports i feel are not appreciated. Also the situation of the library and crowded lunches.but overall the school is nice, but a bit boring.

I have to agree, the school is great the students and staff seem to all be shooting towards the goal of success. I do have to say that not only is band being neglected, the water polo team is doing very well, we are playing for a chance to finally go to C.I.F. Although we are no one knows, we are all athletes but dont get as much support as the others such as football, they easily raise money while we have to fight for every penny we get. Our uniforms which are our caps cost $4000 and thats for two sets we just need some help raising money and we need the support just like band and colorguard.
