I have been a parent at Shining Mountain for over 10 years and fully embrace the Waldorf approach to education. The curriculum is rich with science, music and the arts. The teachers are decicated, and the school embraces the volunteer parent community. Just look at the college accpetances from this year's graduating class (2010). They include Cornell, NYU, and Stanford.

I've been going to this school from 8th grade until now. I am currently in 10th grade, and frankly, I love this school. I went to public school before this one, and due to the economy I am having to change back to public at almost exactly half way through this year. I'm heart broken to go, and hope to be able to return before this quarter ends. The teachers are amazing, the classes are great, and the learning environment itself is what I love the most. There are no windowless flourecent rooms with blank walls and graffiti covered plastic desks, this is as far as you can get from feeling trapped in a depressing place. If there's ever a review you have to trust, it's one coming from the student that has to spend every day there, and with those teachers.

The phlosophy behind this school is practical and iunspirational. The teachers are committed to each individual child and are deicated to each class they teach. What a blessing it is to have found this school.
