Northern High School

This school is the absolute best in academics. The grades may not always be the best in the honors classes, but what you learn greatly surpasses it. I unfortunately had to move to a different school, but what I learned in one year at NHS will stay with me forever, and was more than I learned in three years at another high school.

Northern High School is the best!! Our sports program is outstanding!! We have some of the best kids in the area that actually have manors!! I actually still live in the district and have a child attending the high school. My mother is a graduate of Northern High School. We have so many talented kids attending our school from the arts program to band to sports and everything in between. I'm really proud of Northern High School.

One wonders why Northern High School receives a '3' on Greatschools.org. Is it based on PSSA scores? If so, then okay. But any parent with a child in this school district knows that our children are thriving in all aspects of their development. The children all know one another and, for the most part, respect themselves and their educators. We witness many personal relationships betweene educators and students that have endured for years, if not decades. A testament to the interest and genuine caring our teachers have for the students and their academic success. Dillsburg is a growing community with wonderful families and a great standard of living. We are very pleased with our children's academic performance.
