My son in in K class. We were worried to his transition as he spent more than 2 years in a private Montessori school full time. Mrs scoll succeeded to keep him challenged and helpt him with the areas he needed to work on. The school in small and provides a friendly environment which is important for kids at that age. I am so disapointed for the proposal of closing of sunny hollow especially after we passed the tax increase referendum. If closed, Sunny hollow will be a great loss to the community.

My children went here for K-2, 2 years later they are still talking about what a great school it is and how they wish they could be there. The prinicpal welcomed the kids to talk with her and knew them by name. The teachers were very compassionate and challenged them when they seemed bored. This International Peace Site school helped the kids learn about peace and being good citizens. I highly recommend this school.

We paid for the all day kindergarten program, which was excellent and Mrs. Scholl is a great teacher. Our extreme disappointment was first grade. Because the all day Kindergarten class covered first grade information by year end, they should have had a program to keep the kids moving forward, but instead, these kids repeat all of this information and they are bored for half of the year. The kids should stay together for first grade and continue to move forward. The money seemed to be well spent for the K program, but we paid dearly for it in first grade. Very disappointed and we would encourage this program to be enhanced, otherwise, it is a failure.
