South Stanly is by far the best in the county in my opinion, the teachers are very dedicated and helpful in most cases and the principal (who sadly has a bad reputation among much of the student body) shows, at least to me, excellent leadership ability. Because he chooses to maintain a casual atmosphere (one in which students do not feel oppressed by the administration) there is very little in the way of discipline issues as compared to other schools. this is something that very rarely happens in schools as all too many administrators fail to grasp the adage that one should not hold on too tightly, because what they are trying to control could slip through their fingers

I attend this school and i think it's a great learning experince, there are no uniforms, but there are no boys wearing there pants below there waist, and girls showing middrift there's none of that i would rate my beloved school a 5.

School lacks competent leadership. The administration barely recognizes the band and chorus- there are almost no funds for these electives. They don't have enough teachers to teach classes necessary for graduation.Students can't take all the classes they want to take because they are all scheduled in the same time blocks- because of the lack of teachers.

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
